Grady and I are pretty fortunate to live near some great dog friendly beaches.  Not long ago, we took a day trip to St. Augustine for some beachy fun….

Grady walks along the shore

We warmed up with a shoreline stroll

Beach jog with Grady

...then Grady went for a jog, which ended pretty quickly when the goobers started flying!

Wanna run some more?

Grady sticking his tongue out

I think that would be a resounding NO!

Afterwards, we headed to downtown St. Augustine for some lunch and a cool gelato.  Grady attracted admirers like ants to a picnic and he was basking in all the attention.

We took a rest after all the gelato and admiration before heading home.

We’re excited to be participating in the first Pet Blog Hop today! Check it out!

  1. Grady looks like a very happy beach lovin’ bum! While our Newf isn’t the biggest water fan, we know a thing or two about slobber here. Shamus is supposedly bred to be a “dry mouth” but, when he’s excited, he flings strings like confetti. :)

Nice to meet you on the blog hop!

Lol, yes we know all about the slobber strings here (much to the horror of visitors and friends!!) Thanks for visiting! I’m heading over to check out your site right now!

OHD! The beach looks so nice. Mommy. The only dog friendly beaches in Miami are polluted from the Cruise ships coming and going. Your beach is so pretty maybe we can convince mommy to take us up there someday.

Grady is a handsome fellow. We wish we could play on that beach. We love the water and would swim every day if we had the chance. Come visit us.

Hi Mayzie! Thanks for visiting! We did have a really great time that day – we love the beach.
Davinia and Indiana, We’re sorry that your beaches are polluted…=( You should come up this way and we can have a play date!
Sue, Thanks so much. I think Grady is pretty handsome too (but I’m biased!) We did visit you, love your site!

  6. Mango says:

That looks like a fun place, but don’t overdo that running around stuff. Full sized doggies need their rest.

    Slobbers,

I can see why Grady gets a lot of attention! Oh, to have a beach to walk on….

Hi Pibble! Glad you stopped by. You can have some slobbery kisses any day!
Don’t worry, Mango. Grady’s idea of exercise is very short lived! Just enough to generate some really good slobbers, followed by a long nap!
Lori, Thanks for visiting Grady and I over here! It was a nice surprise to see you here. =)
Ginger and Buddy, it’s nice to meet you too! Thanks for visiting! The beach is fun but I think Grady liked the downtown stop (and all the attention) even better!

  9. Kari says:

I really want to play with his jowls. Is that sad?
